Last week on Monday and Tuesday we had our first retreat in the lovely town Meißen near Dresden! Apart from our usual crew from Germany we were very happy to also welcome our team members from D3TN US, Juan and Scott.
On the first day of our retreat, everybody gave a presentation about a topic related to our company or Delay Tolerant Networks in general – for example we’ve discussed scientific research concerning Machine Learning in DTNs or Underwater DTNs. There were also some proposals made about how we could improve the infrastructure of our company or how it would be possible to develop a framework for reducing flooding attacks in Delay Tolerant Networks. Furthermore we talked about our long-term goal of constructing a commercial relay DTN around the planet Mars. Afterwards we had an interesting city tour organized and eventually we enjoyed a delicious meal at a very traditional German restaurant. On the second day we discussed the progress of D3TN so far and talked about what our future plans look like.
All in all, it have been productive and wonderful two days in which we’ve become even more familiar with each other. We are very much looking forward to the next time!
